Once upon a time, I felt bad for the climate around us that's making people sick. Especially the Air India guys. I expressed my sadness through my post.
Then came the good news of more traffic above thanks to the 'apparant' improvement in climate and 'happily ever after' feeling. I jumped the gun through this post.
But now, things have changed again. Check the snapshot of the mail sent by Air India:
My flight finally has been cancelled! Honestly, I was expecting it. With all the issues surrounding Air India and with the tax-payers money somehow allowing Air India to survive another day!
This would've been my first trip with the Air India crew (not that I was excited about the 'crew'). Somethings are just not meant to happen! In a way, it's good that they informed me well in advance. It gave me the opportunity to cancel this ticket (with full refund) and book a new one (albeit a costly one).
Anyways, I learnt my lesson. No more flying in Air India. So much for being called India's national airlines.
Air India - Adios!
Jet, IndiGo, SpiceJet - Here I come.
Kingfisher - Well, No comments!
haha tough luch eh? When my parents were coming on my son's bday, these Air India Express guys cancelled it. Then it had to be converted to Jet Airways atleast 10k costlier for each ticket. No wonder Anna Hazare is starving. Corruption is eating into our treasury and cash in flowing heavily into the ministers foreign accounts. So the National Airline is suffering. So are the citizens! How sad. And poor Anna. He should just go to some other country and enjoy the little life that is left. Because he is starving for a cause that will never be fruitful. Atleast in his lifetime. Or mine.
ReplyDeleteYes Anita, tough luck! It's interesting to note that you have taken a altogether new aspect into consideration. And a valid point too. Anna is doing the right thing - fighting to eliminate corruption. And the intent is there. But I cannot say the same thing for the now disbanded "Team Anna"..
DeleteHow unfortunate. Hope you get some good deals and its not very late.
ReplyDeleteYes yaar.. I already bought a new ticket though..
DeleteThat's what we have in common Ashwini. No Air India experience yet and no experience to wait for, in the future! The management is truly in a mess right now. I think someone needs to buy them (FDI, maybe) or a fruitful PPP..
ReplyDeleteAh, sad to see once esteemed airline of India go down in a manner like this. Glad you could get the full refund though!
ReplyDeleteI guess all's well that ends well :)
DeleteThank God, you were informed earlier. Finally goodbye to Air India...
ReplyDeleteYes, Its goodbye time..
