There's something about this climate..

I don't understand why we have different climates across the world? Don't give me the scientific reason, I know the reason. But still, Life would've been much simpler had there been a single climate! Don't you think so?

The nature lover in you will say we need different climates as we need change. But you know what happened when a guy rooted for change in the US, now don't you? He brought change - from job to joblessness, from Bin Laden to no Bin Laden. Some changes affected us adversely, some positively. You see, changes in climate forces our internal mechanism to adjust and adapt. It forces different parts of the body to react differently. It takes time. And till the time we adapt, we remain sick! Had there been a single weather, our body would've remained stable.

It is more beneficial in a corporate setup. Employees will not be sick, productivity will increase, work will increase, more projects will come, more revenue and thereby more margin! Only if the management knew about such a situation. Even the marketers know about it. Did you see the AC ad which says the climate inside the room will always be pleasant irrespective of the climate outside! Maybe, the corporate admin decision makers will install such AC's across all the offices and remove sick leave from the list of leaves! Hey, am not giving any ideas, am just saying.

No seriously, there's something about this climate...

...I mean, how else can we explain the sudden sick leaves taken by the Air India pilots and more recently by the Kingfisher pilots? Maybe it's the food, maybe the air-conditioned cockpits, maybe the weather 10,000's of kms above the Earth. Who's to say?

Pilots take sick leave, and the safar becomes a suffer for the customers!

PS: Needless to say, Sarcasm totally intended. Here's wishing them speedy recovery!

  1. No weather is bad! It is only we need to find the right dress to face it! In case of AI/ Kingfisher, they are in need of some strong medicine:)

  6. I think this clmate change is good, because I feel it gets the best out of you or anyone..:) The pilots' needs should be looked after very well for the simple reason that they are responsible for the lives of hundreds of people when they are flying. With regard to Air India, it's all about bad management and the government should stay out of this and professionals should be allowed to run it. A nice perspective Binu...:)

    1. Totally agree with you Prashanth.. Their health is important as our mere survival is in their hands :D

You have a point about management. I suggest Air India can also go for a PPP model.. Something different.. but worth trying..
